Baby Tyson
On July 25th I photographed one month old baby Tyson and his family. Tyson was a great baby to photograph! I have never been able to photograph and sleeping baby before and I have always been amazed at how active new babies are...but Tyson slept for me and he was awake for some shots too. So I got more variety than I was hoping for. Tyson also did really well with the heat (it was one of those melty-hot days).

Tanya & Jamie Engagement
On Sunday July 19th I took Tanya and Jamie's engagement photographs. We met at the Stewart Farm House in Whiterock. This was a new location for me and it had lots of great areas to photograph! After the farm house we hit the beach for a few final images. Tanya and jamie were fun to work with and I am looking forward to photographing their wedding, there will even be kilts and scottish dance involved!

60th Birthday Party!
On Saturday July 11th I photographed Mr Siklos 60th Birthday Party. It was a nice small family gathering. They have a beautiful swimming pool on the property that we used for some "splashy" photos and I could tell the kids couldn't wait to get in the pool after I was gone! After we took a bunch of fun relaxed photos and we finished off the evening with some family group shots.

Special Olympics
Last weekend, July 10th and 11th, on short notice I was invited to help photograph the Special Olympics. A fellow photographer, offered me the opportunity to cover this event because she was still recovering from a minor fender bender from a few days previous to the event. It was a busy two days out in the hot sun, but it was very rewarding and enjoyable. I was one of a team of six photographers covering the event. My main sports to capture were soccer, bocce, and some of the medal award presentations. I must say I was very impressed with these athletes, they worked really hard at their sports and had fantastic energy.
Monika & Dave's Wedding
On Sunday July 5th I photographed Monika & Dave's wedding at Rowena's on the River. This is my second time photographing a wedding at Rowena's and it is such a beautiful location. I do admit the mosquito's were out in full force, but thanks to the breeze we managed to survive. While we were photographing the formals over at Minter Gardens the guests were relaxing by the pool with yummy treats. It was a nice small wedding with lots of charming appeal.

Tanya & Larry's Wedding
On Saturday July 4th I photographed Tanya and Larry's wedding. It was one of those hot, melty weekend days and unfortunately we didn't have a lot of shade cover to work with. We did the formals at the Surrey Golf Club, which has a very nice little pond and some pretty bridges. However we were a bit limited to the area we were allowed to photograph in as the golf course was quite busy. And its not like my camera or I would enjoy getting a golf ball hurled at us!
My friend Jeannie was in the bridal party and it was lots of fun working with her again as I actually first met her while photographing another wedding she was involved in. It is always interesting the people I meet while being a photographer...

Julia & Andrew Wedding
On June 27th I photographed Julia and Andrew's wedding. The wedding was out in Ladner and Tsawwassen, I have only been out that way one other time with a wedding last August, so it was nice to see some more venues that I have not been to before. It was bright and sunny, but not melting hot like the wedding I just photographed today. I have another wedding to photograph tomorrow, so look forward to some more blog posts once I edit all the photos!

Baby Alexandra
On July 1st I photographed Ken & Jen's new baby girl Alexandra. Ken is an old friend of my brother's and it was a lot of fun to photograph Ken's family as it has been years since we'd last met. Alexandra was a very cute and cooperative little baby. We just had a couple interruptions to feed and change a diaper, which is to be expected with new babies. Thus over all it was a great, very enjoyable, portrait session!

Prom 2009
On June 25th I photographed prom pictures for Christina, Braydon, Caitlin, and Glen. Everyone looked fabulous all dressed up! We took some photos at Sardis Park and at the old City Hall in downtown Chilliwack. We were worried there might be an issue with rain, but it turned out to be a nicely overcast day, just perfect for photos!
This was my first prom photo opportunity and I really enjoyed it!
