Kristin & Kiel's Wedding 2010

Last weekend I photographed Kristin & Kiel's wedding. This wedding was super fun for me as I photographed Kristin's sister's wedding last November. It was great to see all of Kristin's family again. And I must say I quite enjoyed knowing mostly everyone's name, saves on the brain energy of trying to remember names in such a short time frame.
At both wedding receptions there was a very original and fun method of choosing which table of guests would eat dinner first. With Laura's wedding it was a game of musical chairs. I was expecting the same game again and got a pleasant surprise when they pulled out hoola hoops! It was quite entertaining.

Kayaking Harrison Lake

I don't normally post non-work images on my blog but I thought these images were pretty cool. I did my first 3 day kayaking trip on Harrison Lake a few weekends ago and it was amazing. Saturday morning was a spectacular day with blue skies and mirror smooth water. Unfortunately the whole trip was not quite so pristine, there were some "white knuckle moments" on some rough water. But since I was not willing to let go of my paddle during that time to illustrate those tense moments...I thought I could at least show some of the truly peaceful mornings.

United Church 2010

For the third year in a row I have had the pleasure of photographing the annual United Church ordination service. This year the service was held in Vancouver in a beautiful old church. Of course the lighting was quite poor but I was given permission to use my flash this year and I was able to snag a front row seat. I quite enjoy photographing this event as it always reminds me of my own United Church roots. All images photographed can be viewed by visiting the website at http://www.kelcophoto.ca select "clients" the title of the gallery is United church 2010.

Sherry's Family

A couple of weekends ago I photographed Sherry's family. I first met Sherry and Bill when they asked me to photograph their son's christening in Victoria. The family happened to be over on the mainland (to see Thomas the Train) so we met at Stanley Park to take some photographs on one of the few sunny days we have had this spring.
